One of our most impressive projects to date is the fully automated coffee roasting facility we built for Black Knight. This installation showcases what’s possible when innovative engineering, intelligent software, and high-performance machinery come together in perfect harmony.
The facility includes storage silos for both green and roasted coffee, each connected through our advanced transport system. This system ensures smooth movement of coffee beans, from green coffee storage to the roasters, and from the roasters back into the roasted coffee silos. From there, the beans continue their journey to the packaging machines.
Both silo systems are equipped with hopper technology that allows our software to create pre-roast and post-roast blends with remarkable precision. Blends are automatically weighed and prepared in advance, ensuring consistent quality and efficient workflow. All processes are monitored and recorded through the Giesen.Cloud software suite, giving full insight and traceability across the entire operation.
