How to enable IR or environment temperature on the Giesen Profiler version 2.x

These steps apply to optional readings on a supported W-series PLC connection in Profiler 2. The roaster must have the relevant sensor installed and provide that reading to Profiler. Enabling a checkbox does not add a sensor or create a measurement.

1. Open Settings > Connections and find the roaster connection.
2. Disable that connection before editing it. Make the change while the roaster is idle.
3. Choose Edit and open Advanced Settings.
4. Under Optional readings, enable beansIR for bean IR temperature or EVTemp_C for environment temperature, if supported by your machine.
5. Return to the connection setup and choose Save. In earlier releases, the return button may be labelled Back.
6. Enable the connection again and check that Profiler receives the reading. Where available, check the chart and hover values.

If no value appears, verify the installed sensor, selected model, PLC version and connection. A restart may be needed by an older release; it does not resolve a missing sensor or an unsupported reading.
