If the noise is similar to something scraping then perhaps the drum clearance needs to be adjusted.

If the noise is similar to a tapping noise then it could be because the bearings need to be greased.

This video will show you how to grease them:

If the noise is coming from the rear of the machine, open the door and check the drum motor gearbox for oil leaks.
