System Requirements for Giesen Profiler
Choose the Profiler installer that matches your operating system and processor. Compatibility depends on the specific release and distribution.
Supported download options
- Windows: GiesenCloud lists Windows x64 and ARM64 downloads through the Microsoft Store. Check the requirements shown for your selected Store package.
- macOS: downloads are available for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Choose the package for your processor and check the operating-system requirement for that release.
- iPad: use the separately listed iPad app and its App Store requirements; desktop requirements do not apply.
Use GiesenCloud Downloads for the current installers and release-specific information. If your operating system is not listed as compatible, contact Giesen Support before installing an older release.
Older macOS versions
The previous statement that current Profiler supports macOS 10.11 and later is outdated. Do not assume that a current installer will run on macOS 10.11 or that every release supports Catalina. Confirm compatibility for the exact package you intend to install.
Hardware and connectivity
Provide enough free disk space for the application, updates and your growing roast history. The previously published RAM figures have not been established as universal requirements for every current distribution; consult the selected installer requirements for minimum values.
For a comfortable desktop workspace, a 1920 × 1080 display is recommended. Roaster communication requires the connection hardware supported by your roaster, such as Ethernet for a supported W-series PLC connection or the appropriate connection method for a G-series roaster.
An internet connection is needed for downloading, signing in and using cloud services. Local Profiler functionality and cloud features have different requirements; see current plans. Do not assume that cloud synchronisation is available offline.
