Replace a PT100 on the W15E

\uD83E\uDD14 Probleem

How to change the PT100 on a W15A

  1. First take of the roof this is connected with 4 screws. Next to this you need to disconnect the light.

2. Disconnect the top left plug off the machine. This is connected  to the control panel.  These connectors are located at the back of the machine in the bottom

3. Remove the 4 screws so that you can take out the terminal.

4. It should look like this:

The Air sensor is connected to 8 (red) and 9 (white)

The Beans sensor is Connected to 10 (red) and 11 (white)

You need to remove the wires by pressing the orange button with a screwdriver and at the mean time pulling a little bit at the wire

For the Bean sensor:

5. Then you can unscrew the PT100 on the front. If you have an older machine you it is  connected with 1 Allen bolts on the newer machines it is 2 Allen bolts. If you have unscrewed these bolts you can carefully pull out the PT100 cable and put in the new one.

6. Now you can pull the new cable trough the machine and reconnect it again. Don’t forget to put the spring around the wire.

7. For the newest model of the PT100 you need to drill a new hole. This is because the PT100 has a long stiff base. For this you need a drill of 2,5mm and wiretap size M3.

8. Secure the right side of the PT100 into the left hole of the beandischarge valve.  Make sure that the PT100 is angled in the direction to the middle screw of the discharge valve shown on the picture.

9. You can now mark the spot where the hole needs to be drilled. Drill the hole, tap wire into the hole and install the new PT100.

The Air sensor:

10.   You have to unscrew the screw, so you can then take out the PT100. Please make sure that you put the new sensor in the same amount as the old one. You can do this in various ways for example marking the old one and hold the new PT100 next to it, then mark it at the same height so when you put the new PT100 in you have a reference mark.

11.   You can put the roof back on, don’t forget to connect the wire for the light.
