Thermal overload alarm W6A

The error ''Thermal Overload'' indicates that the drum or stirrer motor is drawing excessive amperage, which causes the thermal overload blocks to engage in a safety mode.

You can reset this error by pressing the blue buttons on the thermal overload block (102F1.1 & 102F3) located at the bottom of the control panel.

In the next steps, we will demonstrate how to reset the thermal relay to facilitate the restart of your roaster.

1.- Start by opening the Cabinet using the key that has been provided to you along with the roaster.

2.- After opening the cabinet, you will observe the relays located at the bottom of the cabinet.

3.- The relay on the left indicates the cooling and roast motors, while the relay on the right corresponds to the Drum and Stirrer Motors. It is advisable to wait approximately 30 seconds for the relay to cool down, as it may be warm due to overload.

After this period, you should press the blue buttons on the relay; the button that pops out will be the one that experienced the thermal overload.

4.- Ensure that overload relay 102F1.1 reads 2.7A and 102F3 reads 1.4A.

If after resetting the thermoblocks the alarm continues, please check the following:

  • Rotate the drum backwards by adjusting the front bearing housing. In this case, it can be reasonably concluded that the drum is able to rotate freely. If it operates again, this suggests that the drum was jammed and required refitting to the faceplate.

  • Apply grease to the bearings.
